The Lark in the Park: Sunday 29th May 2016

Rehearsals are underway for the one act play, “Background Artiste” written by Stephen Smith and directed by Andrew Gommersall. Sadly, one of the cast has had to withdraw due to illness so Eileen Audas has kindly offered to take part.

The line up for the second part of the evening is a band called “The Art Thieves”; soul sensation “Two True”; and singer “Stella”.

Kate Jackson has organised this segment and has secured Carmen Rogers as the compere.

Tickets are available from “Viva” in San Pedro or “Time in Spain” in Estepona Port (tel 952 798 305); or you can call 629 261 309.
Admission is by donation, we suggest a minimum of 12€.

Hay Fever” a rehearsed play reading by Noel Coward, directed by June Rendle.
61 people attended the Friends Restaurant in San Pedro for a lovely evening of tapas, wine and a rehearsed play reading on 28th April 2016. June Rendle reduced the three-act play to an hour or so and managed to get some familiar ITS faces back on the boards; Margaret and David Dunkley and Peter Brooks to name but three.

Whilst there was no set, the 1920’s costumes delighted the audience. Some of these were from The Salon Theatre, some from June’s own personal collection and some from The Children with Butterfly Skin Charity shop in San Pedro.

Sadly, 13 people who had signed up for the event failed to show up which meant that we had a loss on the evening as we still had to pay for the meals.

The Autumn Production: at the Atalaya Park Hotel.
Whilst we cannot tell you yet what play we will be doing, we can confirm the dates. These are Friday 18th, Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th November 2016. Please reserve these in your diary!

Kate Jackson will be the Director and the audition dates will be sent out nearer the time.
